Mexican producer Rosy Ocampo is launching a new production company in the US, focused on giving a voice to Latin talent.
Mexican producer Rosy Ocampo, who worked for many years in Mexican giant Televisa, is starting “a new chapter” in her life, taking the leap to the US through her own production company.
The news was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, which said Ocampo has signed with US agency APA (Agency for the Performing Arts).
In addition, they revealed Ocampo is launching her own production company in the US, to provide a voice to Latin talent.
“It has been a dream many years in the making to venture outside of the studio that saw me grow. I’m excited for this transition and to bring my expertise in Latinx audiences around the world to champion stories and talent on both sides of the border,” Ocampo said.
“I’m looking forward to working with the brilliant team at APA to build this new chapter in my career.”
Ocampo is one of Televisa’s most recognized producers, with hits such as Qué pobres tan ricos (2013/14), Antes muerta que Lichita (2015/16), La doble vida de Estela Carrillo (2017) or La fea más bella (2006/07).
Her last job at Televisa was Vencer el miedo, while she is currently working on Vencer el desamor.
In her extensive career at Televisa, she even became the Vice President of Content.
