Endemol Shine Brasil, part of the Banijay Group, has successfully placed major company content with top players in the Brazilian market. At Content Americas, the company aims to solidify three key products that have not yet reached Brazilian audiences but have already achieved global success.
Renato Martínez, VP of Content Sales & Acquisitions at Endemol Shine Brasil, told ttvnews that the company is focused on growing its presence in Brazil. The studios they operate in the region will facilitate the development of their acclaimed formats.
“For Content Americas, we’ve brought three key Banijay products. We are focusing on titles like Deal or No Deal Island, a spin-off of the global hit Deal or No Deal; The Summit, an original Australian format; and The Fortune Hotel, a reality show currently airing on ITV in the UK, which we believe will perform very well in our market,” Martínez said.
According to the executive, Endemol Shine Brasil is committed to maintaining the high-quality productions that have brought them success with their partners. “In the coming years, we are aiming at documentaries. We produced the Xuxa documentary for Globoplay last year, which was a major success.”
“2024 is shaping up to be an excellent year for Endemol Shine Brasil. We have productions with Brazil’s major players, including The Masked Singer on Globo, Love is Blind for Netflix, Canta Comigo on Record, MasterChef on Bandeirantes, and Temptation Island on Amazon. We’re working with the biggest players and using different business models. In some cases, we produce 100%, while in others, we handle the licensing or a smaller part of the production. We adapt the business model to what works best for our partners or the specific occasion,” Martínez explained.
The VP of Content Sales & Acquisitions also highlighted the team’s ability to handle large-scale productions in Brazil.
“We’re used to producing major shows here, but we are also focusing on documentaries. For instance, we’ve worked on docu-realities like Kilos Mortales for Warner,” he concluded.
