RCN TV announced the expansion of its free ad-supported streaming (FAST) channel to more leading entertainment platforms across the globe.
RCN Noticias, the 24-hour news division of Colombia’s RCN Television, today announced the expansion of its free ad-supported streaming (FAST) channel to more leading entertainment platforms across the globe.
The channel is now available on Xfinity and Roku in the U.S., plus Pluto TV across Latin America. This strategic growth underscores RCN’s continued commitment to delivering independent, critical journalism to Spanish-speaking audiences on the top digital platforms.
With a reputation built through the international NTN24 network, RCN Radio, and four hours of daily newscasts on RCN Television, RCN Noticias offers viewers in both regions a nonstop stream of live updates, in-depth analysis, and special reports.
Xfinity customers in the U.S. can now seamlessly access RCN’s award-winning Spanishlanguage news coverage directly within the channel guide on Xfinity X1 and the Xfinity Stream app, making it easy to discover alongside their other favorite channels. Roku users can now access RCN Noticias for free in the U.S., further increasing the channel’s reach and availability.
“We are very proud of the growth of RCN’s FAST news channel, now live on Pluto TV, Roku, and Xfinity. This allows us to reach millions of viewers across Latin America and expand our presence in the U.S. to millions of engaged customers”, said Julián Giraldo, EVP, RCN International.
“We are very happy with the continued expansion of our FAST channel, especially in Latin America with Pluto TV, since it allows us to reach even more households while strengthening our news presence across the region. Without independent and critical journalism, there can be no enduring democracy. Informed democratic decisions, even when sometimes incorrect, are the only path back to sound choices”, added Claudia Gurisatti, News Director, RCN Noticias.
