The group’s recently appointed Director of International Distribution and Marketing spoke with ttvnews at Natpe Global about what the platforms are demanding in terms of content.

At the end of last year, Electric Entertainment announced the promotion of Raul Piña to Director of International Distribution and Marketing, to oversee the distribution, sales and marketing of Electric Entertainment content in Latam, Brazil and Portugal; in addition to helping Electric’s domestic division in the distribution of the company’s streaming service, ElectricNOW, to all Hispanic streaming platforms in the US.
With his new role, the executive made his way to Natpe Global to continue expanding the presence of Electric’s catalog in the international market. “It has been a very good market,” the executive summarized about his experience to ttvnews in Miami.
“It’s been very good for me. I’ve had the opportunity, so far, to meet most of the platforms that choose Spanish-language material. I’m very happy with the experience.”
Regarding what these platforms are looking for, the executive highlighted the great asset that it is for Electric Entertainment to have already dubbed content, something that always facilitates exchanges with the platforms.
“What they’re looking for is material that’s dubbed,” he explained. “The good thing is that we’re dubbing films that haven’t been sold for a while, or we have almost all the material dubbed. That’s a benefit for us. We’ve talked about all our programs and I’ve been asked a lot about films in this market.”
“For the US we’re in dialogue with FAST channels. I had some meetings with partners with FAST channels in that territory and hopefully we can close deals,” he concluded.
