A solution for content owners and distributors to expand their reach and maximise their monetisation.
Rakuten TV, one of Europe’s leading streaming platforms, has announced at Mipcom its new business line, Rakuten TV Enterprise Services.
Rakuten TV CEO and President Cédric Dufour made the announcement during the “Global Streamers Talks” where he participated alongside industry expert Evan Shapiro and Maxime Carboni, Chief Business Officer of Euronews, one of the first partners to join Enterprise Services.
Backed by Rakuten TV’s 15 years of technology, content and monetisation experience, Rakuten TV Enterprise Services offers a high-quality and cost-effective solution designed to enable content owners and distributors to easily launch and monetise their FAST channels and video-centric applications.
With a proven track record of managing over 100 FAST channels across Europe, localized, owned and operated on leading FAST services such as Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, VIDAA, Xiaomi TV+ (with more to come), Rakuten TV has unrivaled experience in curating and distributing engaging content to global audiences. In this regard, Enterprise Services facilitates the launch of FAST channels through a cloud-based solution. This includes standardized agreement terms to streamline contract signing, hassle-free integration, and advanced media asset management and scheduling tools with specialized support. Rakuten TV manages the entire delivery and distribution process across platforms, ensuring that content is available and monetized from the start.
Rakuten TV will also leverage its extensive technical expertise in developing OTT applications with various monetization models, including FAST, AVOD and TVOD for all major operating systems on consumer electronics devices, to help content owners expand their reach across the most commonly used everyday devices used by consumers.
Rakuten TV Enterprise Services leverages its sister company, Rakuten Advertising, to deliver a monetization solution. Rakuten Advertising is one of the leading CTV inventory marketers in the EMEA region, with expert local sales teams, close ties to leading European advertising agencies and seamless integration with leading SSP and DSP platforms.
With a long track record of working with premium publishers, Enterprise customers will be integrated into an extensive advertising network, ensuring access to the best ad occupancy rates and maximum monetization potential.
Rakuten TV will also strengthen its TVOD store offering for its major telecom partners with more than 8,000 titles, including premium releases from major Hollywood studios and all European studios, including independents.
“Rakuten TV Enterprise Services marks an important step for our company, as well as for content creators and platforms looking to grow their audiences and increase their revenues in an increasingly competitive market,” said Cédric Dufour, CEO and President of Rakuten TV. “Rakuten TV Enterprise Services is built on the same proven technology and advertising infrastructure that has driven our success, and we are delighted to share these capabilities with our partners.”
“We have always been a pioneer in streaming trends because we have the internal agility to adapt our business according to the evolution of the market and viewers,” Dufour continued. “That is why we have identified in “Rakuten TV Enterprise Services” the solution that will allow our partners to generate sustainable growth alongside us.”
