Julio Chávez’s film is available on the Amazon streaming platform from this August 14

After its theatrical release, Cuando la miro, from the prestigious Argentine actor and playwright Julio Chávez, Amazon Prime Video has reached a deal with EO Media to launch the film for all its Latin American subscribers this Monday, August 14.

Based on a script written by the Chavez and Camila Mansilla, starring Julio Chavez and Marilu Marini, Cuando la mirowas filmed in different locations of Buenos Aires, Argentina and was produced by Rimas Producciones along with HSVG producciones. Tarea Fina is Associate producer, and EO Media, directed by its CEO Ezequiel Olzanski, holds the Distribution for all international rights.

Cuando la miro tells the story of Javier, a plastic artist whose life goes by uneventfully, until he undertakes a strange project: to film his mother, an enigmatic and distant woman. He is not a filmmaker and improvises this task, which will bring an unexpected connection between the two. Cuando la miro is the story of a fascination.

The film was presented at the section Punto de Encuentro de la semana internacional de cine de Valladolid (Seminci). Julio Chávez received the award as best actor along with Marilu Marini in the 37º Festival de Cine Iberolatinoamericano de Trieste, Italia.

Cuando la miro was also awarded Best Film by decision of the fue Jury at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Puerto Madryn Mafici 10º edición, Julio Chávez best actor and Marilú Marini best actress at the same venue. Marilú Marini was also nominated to best protagonic actress for her role in Cuando la miro at the Premios Cóndor de Plata.
