ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) and Oficina Burman (The Mediapro Studio) confirmed production of a new season for Pequeña Victoria, in a series format spin-off of the first season.
In 2021, Latin America will enjoy Pequeña Victoria on Amazon Prime Video and Telefe in Argentina.
The new season of Pequeña Victoria is a dramedy slated for ten, 30-minute episodes. The story initially created by Erika Halvorsen and Daniel Burman, will feature renowned screenwriter and director Juan Taratuto as its showrunner and head writer, directing several episodes.
The first season of Pequeña Victoria, recently nominated for an International Emmy Award for Best Telenovela, premiered in September 2019 with an average share of 36.4% consistently across all episodes to become the most successful fiction on Telefe.
The series innovatively explored relevant topics, embracing surrogacy, the constructs of motherhood and fatherhood, feminism, gender identity, and, above all, love in all its forms. The first season is available on Amazon Prime in Latin America and the United States.
