Present in Content Americas, Warner Bros Discovery comes to the market with several highlights in terms of film premieres for broadcast TV, including arguably the biggest title of the year.

“These first weeks for us are about starting the year and seeing our clients again with whom we have annual agreements and renewing them,” Patricia Jasin, VPS of Distribution for LatAm and Country Manager in Colombia at WBD, said to ttvnews during Content Americas .

“As a novelty, we now have Barbie available for broadcast TV for 2025, one of our premium contents,” she said.

“We have had very good films that we have for the next few years. That is the most important conversation for broadcast TV,” she added. “And then, of course, the large volume of catalog we have available for all windows.”

Regarding her vision of the industry, the executive was optimistic, explaining that higher content consumption brings new opportunities for everyone.

“There has never been so much content consumed as today. The industry has to prosper. We have to adapt to new businesses, know how to respond financially to challenges. But the message is optimism. The industry is growing,” she explained.

“I think the current transition has been a little complicated, which is not the first nor the only one in the industry, because those more ‘traditional’ professionals must keep up with this new wave of professionals who come from a new generation. In that conversation we must be more open and not so rooted in traditions, and at the same time respect experience and knowledge. We have that challenge as an industry to come together better to reach new ports,” she concluded.
