Used to almost completely dominating Parrot Analytics’ rankings of most demanded digital series, the platform took only four spots in Argentina’s Top 10, where Amazon Prime Video ranked first and shared the other 6 spots with Disney+, Hulu, DC Universe, Apple TV and HBO Max.
Competition is growing in the streaming universe, with new players getting stronger and fighting to take the throne away from Netflix.
Such is proven by the latest Parrot Analytics ranking of the most demanded digital series in Argentina, where in the week of October 12 to 18, almost all OTT platforms made its way into the list.
The Top 10 is led by Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys with 31.2 times more demand than the average series, followed by Netflix’s Cobra Kai (25.4x) and Disney+’s The Mandalorian closing the podium (18.5x).
This time, Netflix takes up just three more spots on the list, with Stranger Things in fourth place (17.6x), The Umbrella Academy in sixth (12.6x) and Anne with an E in eighth (11.0x).
Because in addition to Amazon and Disney+, the list also includes titles from Hulu, which comes in fifth with The Handmaid’s Tale (15.2x), DC Universe with Titans (seventh, 11.4x), Apple TV+ with The Morning Show (ninth, 10.7x) and HBO Max with Raised by Wolves in tenth (9.7x).
Meanwhile, the general ranking of most demanded series in Argentina is led by The Simpsons with 31.9 times more demand than the average series, followed in second place by The Boys and in third by Floricienta (28.3x), the return of the classic series teen Argentine that also stands out for being the only Hispanic series in the rankings.
In fourth place is The Walking Dead with 27.1 times more demand, followed by Cobra Kai with 25.4x and Grey’s Anatomy with 24.4x.
This Is Us comes in seventh (19.1x), followed by The Mandalorian, Game of Thrones and Fear the Walking Dead in last place; the three with 18.5 times more demand.
