Paramount+ announced its wrapped production on Bosé, the upcoming biopic about Spanish singer-songwriter Miguel Bosé. The Paramount+ Original series was produced by VIS, a division of Paramount, in collaboration with Shine Iberia (Banijay Iberia), Elefantec Global, and Legacy Rock.
Bosé was directed by Miguel Bardem and Fernando Trullols, written by Ángeles González Sinde, Isabel Vázquez and Boris Izaguirre, and featured Nacho Faerna as showrunner. The series stars José Pastor and Iván Sánchez, as Miguel Bosé at different stages of his adult life. Bosé also features an internationally recognized cast, which includes actors like Nacho Fresneda, Alicia Borrachero, Valeria Solarino, Ana Torrent, Mariela Garriga, among many others.
Nacho Fresneda plays Miguel’s father, Luis Miguel Dominguín, a bullfighter and one of the most influential people in Miguel’s life. Renowned Italian actress Valeria Solarino portrays Miguel’s mother, Lucía Bosé, a talented actress who had a unique and special relationship with her son. Alicia Borrachero plays La Tata, a pivotal figure in Miguel Bosé’s life. The award-winning Spanish actress Also joining the cast of Bosé is Ana Torrent who portrays Rosario Primo de Rivera, Luis Miguel Dominguín’s last wife; Hugo Fuertes, who plays Miguel as a small child; and Cuban actress Mariela Garriga who plays Giannina Facio, a Costa Rican actress and producer who had an affair with Miguel Bosé while dating Julio Iglesias, played by Miguel Ángel Muñoz.
Ana Jara and Débora Izaguirre play Rosa Lagarrigue, Miguel’s manager and friend of 40 years, at different stages of her life. In addition, Gabriel Guevara takes on the role of Nacho Duato, a Spanish choreographer and former ballet dancer who served as the artistic director of the National Dance Company for 20 years and met Miguel at the age of 18. The pair were instantly attracted to one another, lived together in New York in the 1980s, and remain close friends today.
Raquel Salamanca portrays Ana Obregón, the famous Spanish actress and television host whose first boyfriend was Miguel and who remains great friends with the international superstar. While Oscar Higares plays Domingo Dominguín, the Luis Miguel Dominguín’s brother and Miguel’s favorite uncle.
Bosé tells the story of the incredible life of Miguel Bosé, an international superstar that began his career in the late 1970s. The six-episode series will not only reveal the stories behind some of his most iconic works, but it will also offer fans a glimpse into his personal life and how the strong bonds he shares with his family and friends have helped shape the man and the artist we know today.
Bosé will be premiering exclusively on the Paramount+ International streaming service in the coming months.
