Queen of the Universe will have RuPaul as executive producer and will premiere in Latin America on December 9 exclusively on Paramount+.
Paramount+ revealed the cast of its highly anticipated new global singing competition, Queen of the Universe, and announced that global drag icon and multiple Emmy Award winner RuPaul will serve as executive producer on the series.
Queen of the Universe will premiere in Latin America on Thursday, December 9 exclusively on Paramount+.
For its inaugural season, the series will reunite 14 queens of the world as they fight for the title of Queen of the Universe and a cash prize of US$ 250,000.
Participants from nine countries include Regina Voce from Mexico and Grag Queen from Brazil.
Queen of the Universe is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and World Of Wonder, the producers of the multi-Emmy-winning franchise, RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Each episode will showcase the contestants’ vocal prowess as they present new musical performances in front of a live audience and the previously announced panel of judges from the series: multiple Emmy and Grammy award winner Vanessa Williams; platinum-selling recording artist, RuPaul’s Drag Race judge and triple Emmy winner Michelle Visage; America’s drag superstar Trixie Mattel; and Grammy-nominated triple world music star Leona Lewis.
The reality show will be hosted by five-time Bafta TV award winner Graham Norton.
Queen of the Universe joins the growing roster of Paramount+ original programming in Latin America, which includes Rio Shore, Manos arriba chef and Siendo Pampita, among others.
