The founder of the Turkish producer spoke to ttvnews at Content Americas about the new co-production they’re currently developing with Inter Medya and MGE, and his expectations for its premiere in Latin America and Turkey.

On Monday, MGE and Inter Medya shared details about their first co-production, Love and Pride, a highly-anticipated drama which will be co-produced alongside Yesil Yapim.
To find out more about this new project, ttvnews spoke to Ozkan Ipek, founder of Yesil Yapim, who shared further details about the production.
“Both MGE and Inter Medya are very experienced companies in the content business. We are very happy and passionate about working with them. We will be able to produce something very interesting for LatAm”, the executive said.
“It’s about a family who lives in a mansion. There will be lots of love and passion, with the beautiful views of Istanbul”, he added, explaining that 40 episodes have already been produced and that filming will be completed in May.
“And then we will decide when it will air”, he explained. “It will premiere first in Latin America and then in Turkey.”
Having the series fully developed ahead of the premiere is something unique in the Turkish market and something that allows Yesil Yapim to follow their heart when it comes to choosing projects. “This is a new model, we produce content, air it first in Latin America and then in Turkey. We don’t chase ratings that way, we produce based on projects we love,” he said.
Speaking of passion projects, the company has also been working for a very long time on another highly-anticipated series, Narin. “It’s been almost 2 years that we have been working on this story. We will begin shooting in June 2024. It will be a very exciting story, the drama of a woman struggling to keep their family together. We are sure it will be very successful.”
“We are working on other projects as well so our aim is to produce at least two daily Turkish dramas per year”, he said and added: “Our main focus is to follow what’s new on the international market. We are looking for co-production partners in Latin America. Our productions are very successful in Latin America.”
