The companies are currently collaborating on a series about the life of actress Carmen Salinas, with Adriana Barraza set to play the lead role.

Onza Americas and Palomera Group announce a strategic partnership to co-produce a range of fiction and entertainment projects, expanding their offerings for the Latin American market and the U.S. Hispanic audience. This partnership includes a “first look deal” that gives Onza Americas priority access to Palomera Group’s future projects, creating new opportunities for innovative content and business models. Onza Americas will also draw on Palomera Group’s talent pool for its upcoming productions, fostering closer collaboration and greater visibility for Hispanic talent within Palomera Group’s network.

“We’re thrilled to announce this partnership with a key player in the region like Palomera Group. At Onza, we are always looking to work with top talent both in front of and behind the camera. This first-look deal across all Palomera’s audiovisual projects will allow us to bring major characters and stories to life, relevant to audiences in Latin America and the United States, in both fiction and non-fiction formats,” says Carlos Garde, Managing Director of Onza.

As the first step in this collaboration, both companies are currently working on a series about the life of iconic Mexican actress, singer, and producer Carmen Salinas. This ambitious project will unveil lesser-known aspects of Salinas’ life, one of the most influential entertainment figures in Mexico and throughout Latin America, exploring both her on- and off-stage life. The series will feature acclaimed actress Adriana Barraza (Babel, Blue Beetle, Where the Tracks End) in the lead role.

“I firmly believe that strategic partnerships are essential to navigating today’s entertainment market. And when those partnerships include working with outstanding professionals like Alejandra and Julio, the possibilities are limitless, both professionally and personally. Soon, we’ll be announcing more joint projects that we’re sure will be very successful,” shares Harvey Grisalez, SVP of Onza Americas.

Onza Americas, known for its business models, was founded in 2021 as a subsidiary of the Spanish production company Onza. Headquartered in Miami and Los Angeles, Onza Americas launched its debut series, Isla Brava, which quickly became the most-watched program on the streaming platform ViX during its first few weeks, receiving high praise for its script and production quality. Following the success of the first season, the team is now in post-production for the second installment.

With a business model focused on co-producing with creators and adapting content to consumption trends, Onza Americas continues to seek opportunities to innovate and expand, bringing its vision and expertise to joint projects with leading companies like Palomera Group.

Alejandra Palomera, CEO of Palomera Group, commented on the partnership: “We couldn’t be happier to join forces with a company that shares the same standards of quality, professionalism, values, and goals as Palomera Group. Without a doubt, it’s a great achievement to solidify this partnership with Onza Americas, which will allow us to make many dreams come true for those who have trusted us both. Together with Harvey and Carlos, we’ll create job opportunities, expand into international business, and bridge cultures through the projects we have in the pipeline.”

“For Palomera Group, forming an alliance with a prestigious international company like Onza Americas is a critical step forward,” adds Julio César Palomera, COO of Palomera Group. “With support from top industry professionals like Carlos, Harvey, and their team, we will take our content projects to new horizons, enhancing the visibility of our talent as well.”

Founded in the U.S. in 2001 by Alejandra and Julio César Palomera, Palomera Group is a prominent talent agency in the entertainment industry. The agency has promoted artists across various disciplines and developed original content, establishing itself as a key player. With offices in Mexico and Los Angeles, Palomera Group has partnered with major networks such as Televisa, Telemundo, Netflix, and Disney, championing Hispanic talent on an international scale.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in Spanish-language content production, representing a new chapter in the journey of both companies, which seek to meet the growing demand for quality content among Hispanic and Latin American audiences worldwide. The Carmen Salinas series is just the beginning of an alliance set to redefine entertainment in the region.
