After a year of delays due to the pandemic, Underground began filming the fourth and fifth seasons of the hit prison series.
In March 2020, the Covid pandemic found Underground Producciones in full pre-production of the fourth season of El marginal, its successful series.
When the pandemic broke out, producer Pablo Culell told ttvnews that they hoped to be able to film in June or July. Then, in May, he no longer gave dates: “We hope to be able to record two seasons together this year.”
It was finally this past Monday, March 8, 2021, a year later, when they were able to say action and start filming new episodes of El marginal.
The protagonists, Juan Minujín and Martina Gusmán, celebrated the news on their social networks.
El marginal is produced by Underground Producciones for TV Publica in Argentina. Its first three seasons were also available on Netflix, which will also be the screen of the fourth and fifth.
The series is distributed internationally by Dori Media Distribution, which sold its adaptation rights to Telemundo, which produced it under the title El recluso.
