The platform unveiled six new original productions in the country, including a local version of the competition format.
This week, Netflix announced six new productions in Turkey, including three new dramas, one unscripted competition and one original film, in addition to two new seasons of The Gift.
In regard to dramas, the titles commissioned are If Only, Fatma and Hot Skull. They will all arrive in 2021.
The first is a production by Ay Yapim and tells the story of a woman trapped in a happy marriage which has the opportunity to travel in time to the day in which her husband proposed.
Fatma is a production by Basak Abacigil and focused on a 35-year-old cleaning lady who commits a murder but gets away with it because nobody suspects her.
Lastly, Hot Skull is a sci-fi series in which a maddening epidemic takes over the world.
These are joined by the surprise adaptation of the Acun Medya format, Exathlon, which will be titled Exatlon Challenge and premiere on July 3, featuring a group of Turkish influencers.
In terms of films, Netflix will produce its first original title: One Way for Tomorrow, produced by OG Medya.
Lastly, the OTT announced the renewal of its drama The Gift for two more seasons.
