Only three of the platform’s productions made it into Parrot Analytics’ list of the ten most demanded digital series in the country and none of them in the top 3, which is dominated by Disney+ and HBO Max.
Repeating the pattern that is already a trend in most Latin American countries, Netflix is finding itself with fewer and fewer titles in Parrot Analytics’ rankings of the most demanded series, and Colombia is no exception.
In the week from April 26 to May 2, the list of most demanded digital series in the country was led by Disney+, who took the first two positions thanks to its original series WandaVision (first place, 14.2 times more demand than the average series) and Falcon and the Winter Soldier (second place, 10.6x).
In third place came HBO Max’s Titans with 8.25 times more demand, thus leaving Netflix relegated to fourth place thanks to its Colombian series Narcos, with 7.32 times more demand.
The next two spots went to Amazon Prime Video, with The Boys (7.25x) and Invincible (5.92x) coming in fifth and sixth, respectively.
In seventh place was HBO Max’s Infinity Train with 5.85 times more demand, followed by Disney + The Mandalorian with 5.36 times more demand.
Netflix, then, took over the last two places with Stranger Things (4.91x) in ninth place and La casa de papel (4.06x) closing the ranking.
On the general TV side, the trend in Colombia is Hispanic series, especially local ones, which found several positions in overall ranking of most demanded series in the country.
Colombian productions La reina del flow (15.3x) and Pa’Quererte (11.2x) took second and fourth place respectively, while the local edition of the singing reality show, The Voice, Tu Voz Estéreo, ranked sixth with 10.9 times more demand.
In addition, Argentine kids series, El payaso Plim Plim, was placed in seventh place with 10.9 times more demand.
The list is led by Game of Thrones with 16.3 times more demand, while Disney+’s WandaVision closes the podium in third place.
Peppa Pig placed in fifth place with 11.11 times more demand, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in eighth, PAW Patrol (10.52x) in ninth and Attack on Titan (10.27x) closing the list in tenth place.
