The platform revealed new local titles it will premiere in 2021: five fiction series, three comedy shows or specials, and a documentary.
Netflix announced new Colombian original productions. A total of nine titles spanning fiction series, shows or comedy and documentary specials.
These productions will be added to other local series already released by the platform, Frontera verde, Historia de un crimen: Colmenares, Siempre bruja, Distrito salvaje, Chichipatos or El robo del siglo.
These are the new titles:
RITMO SALVAJE
Fiction series that will seek to pay “tribute to reggaeton in a spicy story full of music, dance and rivalries.” Directed by Simón Brand, starring Greeicy Rendón and with a cast that includes Kevin Bury, Martina ‘the dangerous one’, among others.
JUANPIS
Series inspired by the character played by Alejandro Riaño. The most spoiled and unpunished gomelo in the country has to overcome a difficult test imposed by his grandfather to inherit the family fortune, through which he finds what he believes is his vocation: to do politics… But in his (not always lawful) way.
GOLES EN CONTRA
Fiction miniseries that explores the complicated relationship of several of the Colombian national team players with drug trafficking, one that culminated in the own goal and murder of one of the most beloved defenders in the world. With Pablo González and Camilo Prince.
PÁLPITO
Simon’s wife is murdered to remove her heart and transplant it into the wife of a powerful millionaire. In search of revenge, Simón throws himself into the dangerous world of organ trafficking. With Michel Brown, Ana Brenda Contreras, Margarita Muñoz and Sebastián Martínez.
PERFIL FALSO
Camila creates a sexy profile on the spicy online dating app Spice looking for the man of her dreams; and, when she thinks she finds him, her dreams quickly turn into nightmares. With Danilo Santos, Ana Lucía Domínguez, Rodolfo Salas, Renata Notni and Rubén Cortada.
LOKILLO FLOREZ: NADA ES IGUAL
With his very peculiar style, she talks about how because of the pandemic, everything we were used to has changed. Fun songs, an abandoned train station and Rasta’s wise words when spicing up this special.

DIOMEDES
Documentary about the life of Diomedes Díaz, one of the most successful and celebrated vallenato singers and composers of all time, who despite his fame, became the main suspect in the murder of Adriana Niño, his lover.
