Netflix announced in the last hours a new original fiction series in Brazil: Maldives, a dramedy produced by O2 Filmes and written by Natalia Klein.
As detailed, the series is set in the Maldives Condominium, in Barra da Tijuca (Rio de Janeiro) and combines mystery, intrigue and acid humor.
It stars Bruna Marquezine, Manu Gavassi, Sheron Menezzes, Carol Castro, Klebber Toledo, Guilherme Winter, Danilo Mesquita, Samuel Melo, Romani, Vanessa Gerbelli, Ângela Vieira, Alejandro Claveaux, Filipe Ribeiro and Fernanda Thurann.
It will premiere in 2021.
Synopsis
The plot begins when Liz (Bruna Marquezine) moves to Rio de Janeiro with the aim of reuniting with her mother, who dies in a mysterious fire. As she tries to find answers, she will have to hide from investigator Denilson (Romani) and infiltrate a universe full of peculiar characters.
