The reality show will be titled Nova Cena and is now in production.
Nova Cena, already in production, is Netflix’s first Brazilian music reality show.
Focusing on the stories of contestants who compete to become the next big thing on Brazil’s urban music scene, it follows the same format as the US show Rhythm & Flow, with a compelling and candid documentary style.
The winner will receive R$500,000 to launch their music career as well as a part in the fifth season of Sintonia.
The jury is made up of artists Djonga, from Belo Horizonte, Filipe Ret, from Rio de Janeiro and sisters Tasha & Tracie, from São Paulo. Rap star Kamau will host, with beats by DJ Miya B.
Nova Cena is produced by Endemol Shine Brasil, directed by Cacá Marcondes and co-directed by Fábio Ock and Maristela Mattos. Shooting is already in full swing.
