NATPE Global, North America’s premier content marketplace, has confirmed a slew of appointments rounding out the team ahead of its highly anticipated return to Miami next year from January 16 to 18 at the InterContinental Hotel, a large-scale luxury convention venue conveniently located in the heart of Miami’s vibrant downtown district.
As previously announced, former SVP and publisher of Realscreen Claire Macdonald has been named Executive Director. She recently oversaw the successful NATPE Budapest.
Jen Fitzgerald: Senior Conference Producer
Jen Fitzgerald brings extensive experience producing large scale in-person/virtual events and awards programs including The Canadian Comedy Awards, CANCOM Comedy Symposium and most recently for other Brunico properties including Realscreen Summit, Realscreen Awards, Marketing Evolution Summit and Media Innovation Awards. Previously Jen spent six years in the Live Action Production Unit at Corus Entertainment working with such brands as YTV, CMT Canada, OWN Canada and W Network
Brian Boudreau: Sales Manager
Brian Boudreau has worked for Brunico for nearly seven years, starting as Event Sales Representative for all company events in 2016 and eventually working his way up to Senior Account Manager with Playback Magazine and the Banff World Media Festival (BANFF.) Throughout six Festivals and numerous publications, Brian has played an instrumental role in growing and evolving the Playback / BANFF brands (both of which are staples in the Canadian b2b media industry) through innovative partnerships and strategic business development, as well as a focus on client experience and ROI. A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Journalism Program, Brian has a deep interest in the business of film and television, and the evolving global distribution market. He brings significant experience in working with the government and corporate worlds and looks forward to his next challenge as Sales Manager with NATPE Global.
Cesar Diaz: Buyer Relations Manager, Latin America and Hispanic U.S.
Based in Miami, Cesar Diaz is a seasoned executive in the television distribution industry who now leads his own company, 7A Media, dedicated to content development, international sales and consulting. For more than 30 years he has worked for various Latin American television enterprises including Radio Caracas Television (Venezuela), Telefe (Argentina), Telefónica de España (Spain) and a career 22 years with Cisneros Media Distribution, formerly Venevision International (Venezuela). At the helm of the international sales division for each of these companies Cesar was key in catapulting the Latin telenovela genre to non-Spanish speaking markets such as Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa while maintaining a strong presence in all of the Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America as well as Spain and North America.
Expanding their remit to represent NATPE Global in addition to NATPE Budapest are Victoria Elmacioglu: Head of Buyer Relations and Business Development Manager, Europe and Jose Sanchez: Business Development Manager.
Based in Greece and with more than 20 years of experience in production development and distribution, Victoria Elmacioglu has a strong track record in the TV market. Her legacy production company and studio facilities – Television Enterprises – are one of Greece’s most successful studios, having produced content for channels and platforms operating throughout Europe and the Middle East. In 2017, Victoria organised the Mediamixx Festival in Thessaloniki, an event that celebrated television excellence in the CEE & SEE regions. Fresh off the heels of the success of NATPE Budapest, Victoria is thrilled to continue working with Brunico, representing NATPE Global as Head of Buyer Relations and Business Development Manager.
Jose Sanchez is a senior business development leader with more than 20 years experience across the entertainment industry. With a vast background in media and entertainment, Jose has worked with major Global broadcasters and companies such as Disney/ABC, BBC, A&E Discovery, and Reed Midem. Jose has consistently won awards for outstanding achievements in sales, including (Reed Midem, Outstanding Sales award 2014, 2015 and 2017) and BBC’s CEO Sales Award (2002-2006) for building the BBC franchise in Latin America.
