Natpe Budapest Puts the Spotlight on New Content Trends

The event’s second day offered an array of presentations and debates on new trends, saw notable presence from Turkish and Romanian companies, and ended on a high note with the traditional boat party.

Natpe Budapest continued with its second day this Tuesday, June 24 at the InterContinental Hotel in Budapest, with another day of networking, presentations and more.

In terms of presentations and lectures, some of the highlights were the opening presentation by Andreas Briese, Country Director for Germany; Regional Director for Central and Northern Europe at YouTube, who shared actionable insights tailored to the CEE market, focusing on how creators and media companies can leverage YouTube to grow audiences and monetize content.

The day also saw a content showcase from Lionsgate; the classic competition Pitch & Play Live; and debates on new trends in formats and content localization.

The Romanian delegation had an active attendance, highlighting its production incentives; while leading Turkish companies showcased their programming portfolios.

In this regard, MediaHub presented a new season of Stop! Border Patrol Chile, its hit drama Alaca, and a new alliance with Argentina’s Gauchos del Mar to distribute documentaries. Meanwhile, Kanal D International showcased its hit titles for the new season; while ATV Distribution continues to promote its newest dramas, Hidden Destiny and The Nightfall.

Turkish producer, Acun Medya, is present in Budapest seeking for new format and projects to add to their impressive international catalog.

Spanish production and distribution companies were also a standout. For instance, Onza Distribution is showcasing its successful productions, such as their series Atasco, telenovelas like The color of Love and The Housekeeper; and formats such as El desafío, El hormiguero and more; while RTVE showcased its latest content initiatives.

The day ended with the classic boat party, sailing over the Danube river.
