Netflix released the trailer and announced the release date of the hit Gaumont-produced spin-off of the series.
Netflix released the trailer and announced the release date for the third and final season of Narcos: Mexico, the successful spin-off of the Narcos series. The debut will be on November 5.
The new season of Narcos: Mexico features a new showrunner, series co-creator Carlo Bernard, replacing Eric Newman, who took a step back after five seasons.
Newman continues to executive produce the series alongside Bernard, Jose Padilha, Sidonie Dumas, Christophe Riandee, Nicolas Atlan, Doug Miro and Andrés Baiz. Wagner Moura, who played Pablo Escobar during the first two seasons of Narcos, will also return to the series, directing two episodes in the new season.
Set in the 1990s, as the globalization of the drug business ignited, the third season examines the war that erupts after Felix’s empire is split. As the newly independent cartels struggle to survive political upheaval and escalating violence, a new generation of Mexican drug lords emerges. But in this war, the truth is the first victim, and each arrest, murder, and takedown only drives away real victory.
The cast is also made up of Scoot McNairy, José Maria Yazpik, Alberto Ammann, Alfonso Dosal, Mayra Hermosillo, Matt Letscher, Manuel Masalva, Alejandro Edda and Gorka Lasaosa, who will return for the third season.
Narcos: México is a Netflix original series, produced in Mexico and the US by Gaumont, originally intended as a fourth season for the original Colombian production, and turned into its own independent series.
