This Tuesday, during the second day and first official day of Content Americas, ATV Distribution announced a new destination for one of its most successful titles, The Ottoman, which will now be premiering in South Korea on February 6.

“We are very excited about the deal with South Korea, having entered the market with a historical title”, said Muge Akar, Sales Director at ATV Distribution, to ttvnews at the event. “I hope it’s very successful there and we can continue with other Turkish series”.

For the time being, the Turkish distributor is present in Miami with several hit titles, including Snowdrops, Hidden Destiny and The Nightfall.

“Snowdrops is a classic Turkish drama, very well produced”, the director said. “We are producing the first episode at the moment, so it will be on air pretty soon. It has the same code as For My Family, it has the same production company, the same storyline. It’s the younger generation and the more adult story. We have the clash between the generations, the problems, the love stories… it’s a mixture and it’s very similar to For My Family“, she explained.

Hidden Destiny is also a very classic Turkish series. There’s a love story and the family problems, betrayal, marriage issues… it’s also a very relatable type of story”, she added.

As for The Nightfall, the drama has been scoring excellent ratings in Turkey since its debut last year. It tells the story of an impossible love that spans from Pamukkale to the Asaf Bey mansion in Istanbul, with a fairytale narrative and magnificent cast.
