Antonio is El Tigre, an unbeatable diver, the companion everyone wants to have down there, when you risk your life in a matter of seconds and do it every day. Estrella assists her brother on the barge where they work. She keeps him grounded; out of the water, Antonio is a complete mess. He has always lived for today, never thinking about tomorrow, and his financial situation is precarious. Antonio has an accident and is told that his days of diving are coming to an end. The future looks bleak and complicated. A situation that could change when they find a stash of cocaine hidden in the hull of an oil tanker. Antonio sees no other option, but his sister Estrella is not so sure. As always.

The Anatomy of a Moment – Official Selection out of competition

The Kursaal Auditorium will host the premiere of ‘The Anatomy of a Moment’, also directed by Alberto Rodríguez, who co-wrote the script with Rafael Cobos and Fran Araújo. An original Movistar Plus+ series in association with ARTE France and in collaboration with DLO Producciones, it will be distributed internationally by Movistar Plus+ International. It will premiere on Movistar Plus+ next autumn.

Synopsis: Starting with the coup d’état of 23 February 1981 in Spain, ‘The Anatomy of a Moment’ dissects one of the crucial moments in recent Spanish history: the transition to democracy. When Civil Guard Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Tejero entered the Congress with a gun in his hand, only three men remained seated in their seats while the rest crouched down to safety: Adolfo Suárez, Santiago Carrillo and Gutiérrez Mellado.

Through these three men who led the transition to democracy and the three main leaders of the coup, Tejero, Milans and Armada, the series recounts the chain of events and tensions that brought Spain to the brink of returning to the previous military regime. Based on the book by Javier Cercas, which has been described as ‘one of the most important works of Spanish-language literature of our time’.
