Sonia Martinez is joining Atresmedia Studios exclusively and Montse García is taking her place as director of Fiction at Atresmedia TV.
Sonia Martínez is expanding her leadership role at Atresmedia Studios as Head of Editorial of the company, where she will be engaged exclusively as of today.
Atresmedia Studios, part of the Atresmedia Group and headed by Ignacio Corrales, was created in January 2018. Since then, it has experienced considerable growth, establishing itself as a leading producer of Spanish scripted television. The company has developed, produced and entered into agreements and projects for major domestic and international operators.
Alongside this move, Atresmedia TV is reinforcing its strategy by signing Montse García, a very well-known figure in the industry, who will join the company as director of fiction for Atresmedia TV, a position held by Martínez from 2006 to today.
Sonia Martínez and Montse García have already worked together heading some of the most successful series in recent years, including ‘Sin Identidad’, ‘La Catedral del Mar’ and ‘Matadero’, among others.
This will allow the Atresmedia Group to continue its successful strategy in the area of scripted television, bringing in recognised talents and being the Spanish scripted-TV brand with the greatest international prestige.
