Crowned as the most binged series in the world in the last two weeks, Netflix’s Spanish fiction also managed to conquer Colombian audiences, leading Parrot Analytics’ weekly ranking of the most demanded digital series in the country.
After the premiere of the first part of its last season on Friday, September 3 on Netflix, Money Heist became the most binged series in the world in its first two consecutive weeks, leading the Binge Report ranking by TV Time.
Thus it is not surprising that the Spanish fiction continues to conquer markets internationally and Latin America is no exception: in the week of September 12 to 18, the series also became the most demanded in Colombia.
With 9.66 times more demand than the average series, the fiction led Parrot Analytics’ weekly ranking of the most demanded digital series, being also the only Hispanic series on the list.
The podium is completed by WandaVision, from Disney+, with 7 times more demand, and Titans, from HBO Max, with 5.83 times more demand.
In fourth place was Loki, from Disney+, with 5.36 times more demand, followed by Lucifer (Netflix, 4.89x) in fifth, The Mandalorian (Disney+, 4.66x) in sixth, Stranger Things (Netflix, 4, 22x) in seventh and The Boys (Amazon, 4.08x) in eighth.
Closing the ranking is Only Murders in the Building, from Hulu, with 3.76 times more demand and Invincible, from Amazon Prime Video, with 3.26 times more demand, in ninth and tenth place, respectively.
The general list of series most in demand in the country includes the presence of more Hispanic titles, being led by two local productions: Nuevo Rico, Nuevo Pobre in first place with 17.8 times more demand; and the Colombian edition of La Voz Kids, with 14.8 times more demand.
The ranking continues with three children’s productions, with PAW Patrol (11x) in third place, El Payaso Plim Plim (10.8x) in fourth and Peppa Pig (10.7x) in fifth.
Hispanic titles Enfermeras (10.4x), La rosa de Guadalupe (10.2x) and Tu Voz Estéreo (10.1x) continue in sixth, seventh and eighth place, while Game of Thrones (9.6x) and again Money Heist (9.6x) close the ranking in the last two places.
