The Turkish distributor is unveiling the new title The Blackboard and The Town Doctor at the event in Cannes, which join its vast slate of Turkish dramas.
Turkish distributor Mistco is present at Miptv in Cannes with a slate of new and returning dramas for the international market, including two brand new titles.
First is The Blackboard, a new Turkish drama from US Yapim, which recently premiered on TRT on March 30.
The series follows Atlas (Furkan Andıç), who after being bullied by his friends during his high school years, has to leave his hometown together with his mother. Years later, he completes his education and is appointed to his former school in his hometown as a mathematics teacher.
The day of reckoning has come for Atlas and his bullies, who nearly caused his death, and his father, who ignored all the bullying he went through. And then there is Irmak, the girl who stole his heart… (Miray Daner)
The other brand new title is The Town Doctor, produced by ARC Yapım and set to premiere on April 8 on TRT.
It tells the story of the talented and Omer (Deniz Can Aktaş), who decided to become a doctor after losing his father, and the legendary surgeon Ali (Ozan Akbaba), who devoted himself to saving lives, cross paths in a town hospital far from the city. In this town hospital, which brings together MD Ali, Omer and the idealistic MD Leyla (Hazal Subaşı), the determined struggle of three doctors who do their best to help people will be revealed.
These titles join the distributor’s slate for Miptv, which includes The Great Seljuks: Alparslan, The Innocents, An Anatolian Tale, Barbarossa: Sword Of The Mediterranean, Haci Bayram Veli, The Shadow Team, Once Upon A Time In Cyprus, and Hold My Hand.
