Pablo Ghiglione, Globo’s director of International Co-production, spoke with ttvnews at Miptv about the search for new co-production projects for the platform after the success of Códex 632.
In June of last year, during the latest edition of Conecta Fiction & Entertainment, Globoplay announced together with RTP and SPi the co-production of the television adaptation of the Portuguese bestseller, O Codex 632.
A series of six 45-minute episodes, filmed in Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro, it was the first international co-production for the Brazilian platform.
And after this good experience, Globo is now present in Cannes in a new edition of Miptv in search of other international co-production opportunities for Globoplay.
“We are again here at Miptv, very happy to be present,” Pablo Ghiglione, director of Globo’s International Co-Production, told ttvnews. “We are with the sales team presenting new productions.”
“Above all, we are looking for international co-production projects for Globoplay,” revealed the executive. “This past Sunday, Bavaria, which is the international distributor of Codex, Globoplay’s first international co-production, hosted a dinner party for the entire market presenting the project and the product. We hope that soon we will have more announcements to make in this regard,” he anticipated.
