Mip London announced its full program for the inaugural edition of the international content and networking marketplace. The five-day event (February 23-27, 2025), will feature an outstanding lineup of speakers from more than 50 international companies.

The program spans multiple genres and is designed to generate more business opportunities and connections, within a key week for the global television industry.

The event will include keynote sessions on the main stage, screenings, showcases, summits, presentations, workshops and networking events. It will run from 10:00 on Sunday 23rd until Thursday 27th February, at Mip London’s venues: the IET London and the Savoy Hotel.

Lucy Smith, director of Mip London and Mipcom Cannes, noted that the London market’s program is designed to help the industry stay at the forefront of the TV transformation. “We offer daily opportunities to discover content with must-see format showcases and fiction screenings from around the world, as well as generating conversations, connections and partnerships that drive business throughout the week in London,” she said.

To date, nearly 1,600 delegates from more than 70 countries have confirmed their attendance at Mip London, including nearly 800 buyers, including companies with meeting space, content showcases or partnerships within the program, as well as registered professionals for the market.

Recent additions to the program include

A conversation session with Pedro Pina, VP of YouTube EMEA (Wednesday), and another on the economics of content creators with Eve Sherlock, irector of Live Content – Europe, TikTok (Tuesday).

An analysis of successful multi-platform collaboration strategies between UK broadcasters and YouTube, featuring Matt Risley, Managing Director, 4Studio, and Neil Price, Head of UK Film and TV Partnerships, YouTube (Monday).

A live episode of the new podcast The Media Odyssey, hosted by Marion Ranchet and Evan Shapiro (part of the Global Streaming Strategies Summit, hosted by Shapiro on Wednesday).

The announced special conversation alongside David Beckham and Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, on Tuesday at 11:00 on the IET London main stage.

Program highlights confirmed

First London editions of Mipformats and Mipdoc focused on unscripted content from Sunday to Tuesday, which will include the Mipdoc Co-Production Summit, the Mipformats Pitch (presented in association with Fox Entertainment Global), The WIT’s Fresh TV Formats presentation and K7 Media’s new breakout session Unscripted 2025: Breaking Boundaries, Shaping Stories.

International unscripted formats showcases, with two presentations from Talpa Studios, a focus on emerging formats from Asia from Kocca and TV Asahi (Monday) and Yomiuri TV (Tuesday), plus presentations on Japanese content, including Fresh TV Japan and a multi-genre session supported by MIC and BEAJ.

Fiction screenings, including Dori Media’s horror comedy Soul Sucker and a world premiere from Robert Gillings Productions (Tuesday).

Digital First sessions, such as “Shaping Success in the Digital-First Era: Perspectives on Production, Distribution and Commissioning,” organized in association with TellyCast, featuring Anouk van Dijk (Quintus Media), Matt Campion (Spirit Studios) and Amie Parker-Williams (MTV & Comedy Central) (Thursday, 10:15).

The convergence between linear and digital TV will also be addressed in “Bridging the Gap: When Linear Meets Digital,” with creator Harini Bhat (Today I Learned Science) and Adam Dylewski, PBS executive (Monday, 11:00).

Focus on branded entertainment, with a session to help producers collaborate with brands and agencies. Featuring George Cowin (Cowshed Collective), Carlotta Rossi Spencer (Banijay Entertainment) and Joshua Barnett (After Party Studios) (Tuesday, 09:45).

Children’s Content Summit, with executives including Patricia Hidalgo (BBC), Claire Heinrich (France Télévisions) and Luca Milano (RAI Kids), plus experts from Animaj, The Gang, TheSoul Publishing, Little Dot Studios and Ampere Analysis (Thursday, 14:00).

Networking events, including the Mip London Opening Cocktail Party, in association with Coutts, on Sunday at 18:00 at the IET London, and the Networking Breakfast with Women in Film & TV (WFTV), on Tuesday at 08:30 in the Beaufort Bar at the Savoy.
