Production company MF Yapim has agreed with Studio LuluLala to reproduce the successful format of this Korean drama in Turkey.
Production company MF Yapim will adapt the Turkish version of the Korean drama Doctor Cha, following an agreement signed with Studio LuluLala (SLL). This company developed the hit series available on Netflix, tvlatina.tv has reported.
Asena Bulbuloglu, CEO of MF Yapim, told tvlatina.tv that since its inception, it has successfully adapted many Korean formats in Turkey and exported them to various countries. “We hope to achieve the same success with Doctor Cha, our first deal with SLL, and wish it to be the first of many to follow.”
Meanwhile, Charles Park, senior VP of SLL’s content business, said they are excited to see a Turkish version of one of their most successful series this year. They hope to expand this opportunity to see more international adaptations of their formats.
Doctor Cha is the story of a middle-aged housewife who returns to her medical career and then embarks on the first year of her residency at a hospital where her husband works.
