According to what FormulaTV has revealed, Mediaset España acquired the drama distributed by Eccho Rights. It will be broadcast as Ömer: sueños robados.
Produced by Stellar Yapim for Kanal D, the series has already been sold to countries such as Puerto Rico, Colombia or Mexico.
It tells the moving story of a little orphan and his adoptive sister. They only have each other, but this bond of love will be enough to overcome any challenge that life throws at them and together seek a better life.
Starring Gizem Arıkan, Emre Mete Sönmez, and Ali Yasin Özegemen, the daily series is from the same creators as the hit Elif.
Wounded Birds joins My Home, My Destiny, also distributed by Eccho Rights and acquired by Mediaset España.
THE SUCCESS OF LOVE IS IN THE AIR
The news of the purchase of Wounded Birds comes three weeks after the premiere in prime time and on Telecinco of Love is in the Air, the third Turkish series to reach a main channel in Spain and the first to do so on a Mediaset channel.
Released on January 11, many suspected that the Telecinco premiere was merely promotional. However, weeks have passed and Love is in the Air continues in prime time on Telecinco.
Audiences, so far, have not been of the magnitude of Woman’s on Antena 3. However, its ratings do not stop rising: last week it achieved its best data with 11.9% share and 2,194,000 viewers and this week it repeated with 2,172,000 viewers and a 12.1% share.
