The commission marks the first international adaptation of the Endemol Shine Australia-created spin-off format. It will air in the market on 19 November 2024.

Behind hit shows including MasterChef Australia and Married at First Sight Australia, Endemol Shine Australia’s MasterChef: Dessert Masters is the ninth spin-off of the global hit format. Launching on Network 10 in November 2023, it has already been recommissioned for a second season.

The series concludes in the Grand Finale, where the final three battle it out to be crowned champion. Promising excellence and high-calibre cuisine, the show blends precision and creativity to serve drama as a host of professionals put their reputations on the line.

Nani Freitas, Chief Executive Officer, Endemol Shine Brasil, says: “Bringing this format to Brazil in the same year we celebrate ten years of MasterChef is a fantastic way to pay tribute to the show’s success here. We look forward to delighting the palate of our viewers with this new adaptation of the much-loved program.”

Lucas Green, Chief Content Officer, Operations, Banijay, adds: “Travelling beyond its home-territory of Australia, the MasterChef: Dessert Masters brand is growing its reputation as the home for elite culinary artists in this specialized medium. A celebration of excellence and innovation, this is a great addition to the MasterChef portfolio in Brazil, and we are eager to see the country’s top pastry chefs and chocolatiers in action.”

MasterChef: Dessert Masters now joins Banijay Entertainment’s vast catalog of traveling formats, alongside recent hits like Good Luck Guys, Love Triangle, The Summit, and The Fifty, and superbrands MasterChef, Big Brother, and Survivor.

Represented internationally by Banijay Entertainment, MasterChef is the world’s most successful cookery television format (Guinness World Records) and was crowned Spin-Off Superstar in last year’s K7 report. Now commissioned across 70 markets, the life-changing show has aired over 700 seasons and over 16,000 episodes.
