Endemol Shine Brazil will develop a local version of the cooking show competition for local broadcaster Bandeirantes.

Global content creator, producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group announced that MasterChef: All Stars, a spin-off of its global smash-hit format MasterChef, has been signed up for a first series in Brazil and Sweden, with a third run recommissioned in Denmark.

Endemol Shine Brazil is set to produce a 10×75’ Brazilian version for Bandeirantes.

In Sweden, Discovery Home Health, with Meter TV, part of Endemol Shine Nordics, will create a Swedish version for for TV4.

Lastly, the Danish iteration will be made by Metronome DK, also part of Endemol Shine Nordics for TV3.

The first Mexican series which kicked off on Azteca Uno earlier this month premiered to an average audience of 1.5 million viewers and an 8.9% market share, +13% higher than Azteca Uno’s primetime average.

MasterChef: All Stars takes a unique twist on the well known format and brings the heat to the kitchen as returning contestants face each other in serious cooking challenges to win the ultimate champion title.

The MasterChef format launched in 1990 in the UK and aired for over a decade on the BBC. In 2005 the format was revived for the BBC as ‘MasterChef Goes Large’, and four years later Australia became the first country to adapt the format outside of the UK with MasterChef Australia launching in 2009 as the highest rated show in Australian history. It was originally created by Franc Roddam and is produced and distributed by Endemol Shine Group.

Endemol Shine Group’s cooking format portfolio also boasts returning series Ready, Steady, Cook which has just been signed up in the UK by BBC One following a ten year hiatus. It is joined by travelling hits Family Food Fight and Kitchen Impossible as well as finished tape series’ including new MIPCOM 2019 Hot Pick My Greatest Dishes and Britain’s Best Cook.

Other global non-scripted hits for Endemol Shine Group include super brands MasterChef and Big Brother which recently celebrated its landmark 20th birthday, internationally loved favourites Deal or No Deal, Your Face Sounds Familiar, Operacion Triunfo, The Money Drop, Hunted and many more.
