The company is also actively seeking co-production and distribution partners for its latest animated project, Shooting Stars, which was recently unveiled at MIFA.
At Natpe Budapest, Animotion Media Group is showcasing a dynamic catalogue that bridges established franchises with brand-new properties. Maria Makedonskaya, Head of Content Sales, spoke about the company’s expansion and ambitions across Central and Eastern Europe.
“We are an Abu Dhabi-based production and distribution company working with animation, and we have a rather big catalogue,” said Makedonskaya. “We’re bringing both older series, for which we’re producing new seasons, and presenting new titles.”
Among the new series is Detective Finnick, a long-awaited project that’s now gaining traction. “Detective Finnick is finally waking up, and we are about to close a few deals,” she revealed. Meanwhile, the popular series The Fixies continues to grow. “Right now, we’re delivering season 5 to our partners and are in production on season 6,” she said.
The company is also actively seeking co-production and distribution partners for its latest animated project, Shooting Stars, which was recently unveiled at MIFA. “It’s our brand-new project and we are looking for partners,” Makedonskaya noted.
Despite being a relatively young company, Animotion’s global footprint quickly expands. “We cover region by region, and the world seems… we’re quite a young company,” she reflected. Natpe Budapest represents a key opportunity for Animotion to deepen its reach in Central and Eastern Europe.
“In CEE, we’re obviously interested in meeting as many potential buyers as possible. We’re happy to work with traditional broadcasters, platforms—whoever is the right partner,” she concluded.
