They will be presenting their new series, Somos: ¿qué charlas estás pateando?, at MipCancun. This dramedy comprises six 30-minute episodes and promises to delve into taboo topics.
Flixxo continues its commitment to the production of independent content and arrives at MipCancun to present its new series, Somos: ¿qué charlas estás pateando?, which raises the conflict around those awkward conversations that no one likes to have with their partners, friends or coworkers.
Marcos Melo, Vice President of Distribution and Internationalization at Flixxo, mentioned that content created by independent producers has a lot to give. “With this series, we want to show how independent creators, giving them editorial freedom, can make super interesting products from a dynamic narrative and with an excellent technical invoice,” he said.
“This year, we have come up with the series called Somos: ¿qué charlas estás pateando, a very local title that has to do with the relationships of friends, couples, ex-partners, coworkers, and of those talks that you don’t want to touch so as not to get into conflict. It’s a dramedy with six 30-minute episodes,” said Flixxo’s distribution manager.
Melo pointed out that at the last MipCancun, they realized they had to adjust their formats, which is why they are betting on 2023. “Industry partners were asking us for these same dynamic narratives, in longer formats in series, short films, feature films, and that is how we decided to launch the distributor XO Distribution structured within the company but with all formats.”
The microseries OTT platform, also a production house and now a content distributor through its newly launched XO Distribution, will be part of its structure dedicated to continuing the promotion and marketing of its content in microseries format but will add to its catalog other forms such as series, short films, immersive content, and own and third-party feature films. Flixxo provides a platform where all its content can be monetized using its cryptocurrency, Flixx.
