Ahead of MipCancun, the Turkish distributor’s hit dramas, Flames of Fate, Love Is In the Air and A Woman Scorned have landed new sales to multiple territories across the region.
Madd Entertainment continues to expand the reach of its Turkish catalog in the international market, announcing multiple new sales for its hit dramas.
For starters, Love Is in The Air has been sold to over 85 territories, including seven recent sales in the Americas alone. Recent sales include deals with new broadcasters in Chile, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Peru, and Puerto Rico as well as Telemundo in the US Hispanic market.
The series is by far one of Madd’s fastest-selling series. So far it has already been placed all around the world, including broadcasters as diverse as Mediaset in Western Europe, MENA’s MBC, the CIS and Baltic states via Fox Network Group and HBO Max Latam.
MF Yapim’s romantic drama has become a truly global phenomenon since it first launched on Turkey’s Fox TV in the summer of 2020, where it aired under the title Sen Çal Kapımı.
In addition, the drama Flames of Fame has made it to 80 markets around the world, including seven new deals in the Americas in Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Paraguay, Puerto Rico and Telemundo. The drama is also available across the region on HBO Max Latam.
Ay Yapim produced Flames of Fate for Turkey’s Show TV, which broadcast it under the title Alev Alev. It is an adaptation of the French series La Bazar de Charite, a period drama based on a real tragedy in 19 th century Paris, in which over 100 women died in a fire at a charity ball. The story follows three survivors, whose suffering begins only after the blaze is extinguished.
Last but not least, A Woman Scorned, which continues its second season in the top tier of Turkey’s TV ratings, has been sold to 65 territories around the world, including seven recent sales in Latin America, including Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras and Paraguay. The series also is available across the region on HBO Max Latam.
A Woman Scorned is one of the most popular drama series in Turkey right now and will be one of the very best-selling Turkish series of all times around the world. The psychological drama features top Turkish star Cansu Dere (Mother) as a doctor betrayed by her husband, played by Caner Cindoruk (Woman), in an affair. Ms. Dere gives what some are calling the performance of her career, as viewers are captivated by her character’s strength and the extraordinary lengths she will go to protect herself and her family.
