Amazon Prime Video’s Spanish series, El Cid, ranked third in Parrot Analytics’ ranking of the most demanded digital series in the country in the last week, where other Spanish titles like Money Heist and Veneno also stand out.
Consolidated as some of the most successful Hispanic series in recent seasons, it is not surprising that Spanish series are among the most demanded in their own country, as the latest weekly ranking from Parrot Analytics shows once again.
In the week of August 15 to 21, El Cid, which has just premiered its second season on Amazon Prime Video, managed to enter the podium of the most demanded digital series in Spain with 17.68 times more demand than the series average.
It is followed in the list by the Netflix hit, Money Heist, which a few days before the premiere of its fifth installment ranked fourth on the list (17.39x); while Veneno, the original Atresplayer series that just closed new sales in Europe, took eighth place (13.81x).
The ranking of digital series is led by Stranger Things (21.07x), from Netflix, followed in second place by the Disney+ title, The Mandalorian (19.34x).
Completing the list are the Disney+ series, Loki (fifth place, 17.2x) and WandaVision (seventh, 13.82x), Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale (sixth, 14.03x), Titans, from HBO Max (ninth, 13 , 59x) and Ted Lasso, from Apple TV+, in last place (12.89x).
Stranger Things also leads the general ranking of series most in demand in Spain, followed by fictions The Walking Dead with 20.88 times more demand and Game of Thrones closing the podium with 20.05 times more demand.
In fourth place is The Mandalorian, followed by the anime Attack on Titan in fifth place with 18.55 times more demand.
The Spanish El Cid and La casa de papel take sixth and seventh place in the general ranking, followed by Loki, The White Lotus (15.97x) in ninth and My Hero Academia (14.9x) in tenth.
