Spanish original productions from Netflix, ATREPlayer, Prime Video and HBO Max earned a place in Parrot Analytics’ latest weekly ranking of the most popular digital series in the country.
The undisputed success of the last week, Stranger Things led the rankings of the most popular series in Spain, both digitally and in general, by a wide margin.
In the week of May 22, the Netflix science fiction series registered an impressive 60 times more demand than the average series in the country.
However, the great highlight of this week’s digital ranking is the number of local original series that appear on the list, with entries from Netflix, Atresplayer, Prime Video and HBO Max.
Thus, the reality show Drag Race Spain, from ATRESPlayer Premium, stands in sixth place with 14.6 times more demand, followed by La casa de papel, from Netflix (seventh, 14.5x), El Cid, from Amazon Prime Video (eighth, 13.5x) and Veneno, from HBO Max (ninth, 13.5x).
The digital ranking is completed by The Mandalorian, from Disney+ (second place, 17.7x), Love Death + Robots, from Netflix (16.5x), The Boys, from Amazon Prime Video (fourth, 16.4x), Moon Knight, from Disney+ (fifth, 15.2x), and HBO Max’s Our Flag Means Death, in last place with 12.8 times more demand.
Also led by Stranger Things, the podium for the general ranking of the most popular series in Spain is completed by Better Call Saul (22.9x) and Game of Thrones (21.4x).
They are followed by The Mandalorian in fourth place, The Owl House (17.5x) in fifth, Attack on Titan (16.8x) in sixth, Spy X Family (16.6x) in seventh, Love Death + Robots in eighth and The Boys in ninth.
The only Hispanic entry on the list completes the general list, the Spanish reality show Supervivientes, in tenth place with 15.7x more demand.
