Ecuador’s Enchufe TV and Mexico’s La Rosa de Guadaulpe, are the only productions for adults in a ranking dominated entirely by children’s content, according to Parrot Analytics. Netflix leads the digital ranking, where a Turkish drama made the cut for the first time.
Repeating the main trend of almost all Latin American countries, children’s content shines as the most demanded in Ecuador, occupying eight of the 10 positions in the Parrot Analytics ranking of the most demanded series in the country.
The ranking for the week of October 24 to 30 was dominated by kids content, with the exception of two spots: first place, which was for the Ecuadorian production Enchufe TV, with 14.3 times more demand than the average series; and fifth, which was for the Mexico´s La rosa de Guadalupe, with 11.8 times more demand.
SpongeBob (13.3x) took second place, followed by PAW Patrol (13x) in third and My Little Pony (12.2) in fourth.
Peppa Pig ranked sixth (10.9x), El payaso Plim Plim was seventh (10.8x), Masha and the bear was eighth (10.02x), Talking Tom and Friends was ninth (8.84x) and PJ Masks closed the ranking in last place (7.97x).
On the digital side, Netflix led the ranking of most demanded series with its thriller You (4.59x), followed by its science fiction series, Stranger Things (4.07x). HBO Max closed the podium with Titans (3.9x).
In fourth place was WandaVision, from Disney+, with 3.16 times more demand, followed by the first Turkish drama to make the cut in a Parrot Analytics digital ranking for the region: The drama Never Give Up (Asla Vazgeçmem), from Show TV, with 2.9 times more demand.
Netflix’s Spanish series, Money Heist, took sixth place (2.9x), with Cobra Kai in seventh (2.52x), Marvel’s What If?, by Disney+, in eighth (2.11x), Record of Ragnarock, of Amazon Prime Video, in ninth (2.02x), and Loki, by Disney+, closing the list with 1.96 times more demand.
