The Inter Medya drama’s finale reached 3.5 million Total Viewers 2+ and surpassed ABC, CBS, and FOX between Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 in the 9:00 pm slot.

Univison aired this Monday, August 13, the finale of the Turkish drama Kara Sevda, broadcast locally as Amor eterno.

And just as it had happened with the series’ debut and the second season, the Hispanic network achieved excellent audience numbers that placed it even above English-language networks in key demos.

As reported by Univision, the end of the series reached 3.5 million Total Viewers 2+, who tuned in all or part of the broadcast.

It also produced an average audience of 2.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 847,000 Adults 18-49 and 344,000 Adults 18-34, making it the most popular show on open-signal television during the 21:00 slot: 00 hours between Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, and positioned Univision first among broadcasters all night between the two major demographic groups.

In addition, Amor eterno was the most tuned program on broadcast TV among Adults 18-34 and ranked second among Adults 18-49, in addition to capturing viewers on social networks with #AmorEternoUS and becoming a very popular topic on Twitter Monday night.

With all these numbers, it became the best ending of a prime time novel or series in prime time on Spanish television in the current 2019/2020 season among Total Viewers 2+.

Throughout its second season, Amor eterno averaged 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 753,000 Adults 18-49, and 317,000 Adults 18-34.

The program achieved a double-digit increase in audience compared to the first season among Total Viewers 2+ (+ 37%), Adults 18-49 (+ 50%) and Adults 18-34 (+ 52%), and made Univision is the number one network in Spanish during the hours of 9:00 p.m. on weekdays.

In the fall, Univision will release Forbidden Love, the next series from the producers of Eternal Love and also distributed by Inter Medya, as announced on their upfront.
