Mediaset Spain has acquired the Turkish romantic comedy for its Divinity network, according to the local media.
Despite claiming to look beyond Turkish series when purchasing content for Divinity, Mediaset Spain has decided to once again bet on a production made in Turkey.
As revealed by various fan portals, the group acquired the broadcasting rights to Love Trap (Afili Aşk in Turkish), a romantic comedy distributed by Kanal D International.
Produced by ARC Film, the series premiered in Turkey in June 2019 with great success, taking Kanal D to the top of the ratings’ chart.
Love Trap stars Çağlar Ertuğrul and Burcu Özberk.
In addition to this acquisition, Divinity announced that it will re-release two of the most successful Turkish series on its screen: Erkenci Kus (Daydreamer) and Kara Sevda (Eternal Love).
Starting on Monday, June 29, the two productions will occupy the afternoon section of the thematic chain, starting at 3:00 p.m.
