The Turkish distributor is arriving in Cannes with a catalog of Turkish dramas led by Ruthless City, Love Trap and the upcoming Azize.
Kanal D International is ready for a new edition of Mipcom, backed by a catalog of its best Turkish dramas.
First, Ruthless City; Kanal D’s premium drama which had its debut in April at Miptv, will be soon meeting with the global audience in many countries will be presented in Cannes with its 2nd season. The story is giving a duality governed by the balance of light and darkness, within each person.
In addition, the rating buster romantic comedy Love Trap, which has started in June with a great success by carrying Kanal D to the top of the rating charts and carried its success to Fall/Winter season, will be the second content which will be presented in Cannes. There is no doubt that the increasing tension of the love between two protagonists will put the couple among “the world’s unforgettable sweethearts”.
The 3rd and newest title will be the highly anticipated premium drama Azize. A new version of a Ying-Yang story, it tells the love story between a young nurse with a destroyed family and the youngest son with kind heart of a mafia family.
“This year we will be presenting strong titles like we did in the past 15 years. The titles we presented within all these years; Fatmagul, Time Goes By, Price of Passion, Wounded Love, Love of The Roses and Forbidden Love etc… had great success and turned into cult classics,” said Kerim Emrah Turna the executive director of Kanal D International.
“I believe all our new titles Ruthless City, Love Trap and Azize will have the same effect with in the near future. This season Kanal D will also broadcast 2 successful remakes. With the addition of these 2 remakes we will be presenting a wide Fall/Winter portfolio to international platforms.”
