The distributor announced new sales for the successful Turkish adaptation of the US drama, House, which will arrive in Uruguay, as well as several territories in Asia, CEE and MENA.
After two successful seasons on Kanal D in Turkey, Hekimoglu is preparing to continue to win over audiences internationally.
The successful Turkish drama, an adaptation of the American series House MD, was acquired in Uruguay in Latin America; in addition to Afghanistan, India and Uzbekistan in Asia; Kosovo and Romania in CEE; and Israel in MENA.
Produced by Ojo Pictures and starring Timuçin Esen, Okan Yalabık, Ebru Özkan, Kaan Yıldırım, Damla Colbay and Aytaç Şaşmaz; Hekimoglu has proven to be a huge success in its season premiere, consistently ranking as the number one show in the AB demographic, and earning a spot in the Top 5 of entertainment shows across all demos.
The series follows Ateş Hekimoğlu (Esen) a famous doctor specializing in infectious diseases and nephrology. His diagnostic department is made up of a team of doctors chosen by him, which is made up of Mehmet Ali (Yıldırım), Zeynep (Colbay) and Emre (Şaşmaz).
The original American version premiered on FOX in the US in 2004. Starring Hugh Laurie throughout its eight seasons, the drama won five Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes and a Peabody Award. The format has also been successfully adapted in Russia.
