The new role encompasses the definition and execution of the Group’s global corporate strategy, as well as oversee investments, mergers and acquisitions to accelerate national and international growth.
Secuoya Content Group, a leading player in the audiovisual sector and in the creation, production, post-production and distribution of content, has announced the appointment of José Manuel González Pacheco as its new Director of Strategy and M&A -a newly created role that underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening its roadmap for both organic and inorganic growth.
Since January 2021, González Pacheco has served as Managing Director of Secuoya Studios, a cornerstone within the Group’s ecosystem and a strategic driver of its future expansion. During this period, Secuoya Studios has delivered remarkable growth, boosting operational efficiency, content innovation and access to new markets.
In his new role, González Pacheco will be responsible for shaping and executing Secuoya Content Group’s global corporate strategy, while also leading the company’s investment, mergers and acquisitions agenda-from identifying and assessing opportunities to ensuring successful integration. His mission will be to accelerate the Group’s growth both in Spain and across international markets.
Working closely with all business units, he will ensure strategic alignment and effective integration of new initiatives.
“José Manuel’s appointment reflects our long-term vision: to grow by empowering leaders with deep knowledge of the sector, a strong cultural fit, and the ability to create value in a highly competitive environment. His track record at Secuoya Studios, as well as at leading industry companies such as Atresmedia and Mediacrest, makes this the right step forward and reinforces our ambition to accelerate the Group’s growth,” said Raúl Berdonés, Executive Chairman of Secuoya Content Group.
“After contributing since January 2021 to the launch and consolidation of Secuoya Studios, I embrace this new challenge with great enthusiasm. I am grateful to Raúl Berdonés and Pablo Jimeno for their trust in me to drive the new stage of inorganic growth, diversification and internationalization of both the studio and the Group, at a key moment to establish it as a Spanish benchmark and an international leader in the audiovisual industry,” said José Manuel González Pacheco.
With more than 30 years of experience in the audiovisual sector, and a strong background in management, strategy and operations, González Pacheco has held leadership roles at Arthur Andersen, Deloitte and Atresmedia, among others. His appointment reinforces Secuoya Content Group’s ambition to consolidate its position as a key player in the ongoing transformation of the global audiovisual landscape.
