Following his departure from Calinos Entertainment, José Luis Gascue officially announced to ttvnews he is joining Spanish giant, Secuoya Studios.
As the new Executive VP of Global Sales, the outstanding executive joins the Spanish group to boost its sales, supervising the distribution to streaming platforms, linear channels and sales agreements with partners around the world.
He will be part of the Secuoya Studios Commercial & Distribution team, a team led by Sergio Pizzolante, to whom he reports.
José Luis Gascue comes to Secuoya from the Turkish distributor Calinos Entertainment, where he worked as VPE of International Sales. During his career, Gascue had held multiple positions in the industry. Prior to his time at Calinos, he served for years as VP of Sales for Latin America at 20th Century Fox.
Gascue is an attorney with a Master’s Degree in Comparative Law from the University of Miami. In his 29-year career, he has worked at a major pay TV channel, two major Hollywood studios, and an independent distributor.
He began his career in 1993 at HBO Latin America, where he was manager of Business Affairs. Then in 2000 he joined NBCUniversal to become Director of Sales and Operations for Latin America. In 2006 he joined Beverly Hills Entertainment as VP of Sales. And in 2008 he went on to lead Latin American Sales of 20th Century Fox, a position in which he remained until September 2019, when he left the company as a result of the restructuring after the purchase of Disney.
