The current Head of Television Distribution for Latin America, Warner Bros. Entertainment will be stepping down from his role and leaving the company in September.
WarnerMedia Latin America has announced today that John García, Head of Television Distribution for Latin America, Warner Bros. Entertainment, will be stepping down from his role and leaving the company in September.
García has spent the majority of his 23-year Warner Bros International Television Distribution (WBITD) career running the division’s Latin America business out of Miami. Since 2005, he has overseen regional sales, distribution, development and acquisitions of Warner Bros programming across Pay TV, digital and broadcast.
Before moving to Miami, García was the Deputy Managing Director of WBITD’s sales office in Madrid, Spain, responsible for the division’s activities throughout Southern Europe including Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Turkey and Cyprus. He previously served as Director of Sales/Business Development for Portugal and Spain on behalf of both WBITD and Turner Entertainment Channels. García originally joined WBITD in 1998 as a Global Management trainee at the company’s Burbank, California headquarters and later spent six months in WBITD’s London office before assuming his duties in Madrid.
