Released just a few days ago, Cautiva por amor is one of the newest and most anticipated products TV Azteca Internacional presented at the current edition of LA Screenings, and one that marks a milestone for the group.
“This is the first time that TV Azteca has premiered a telenovela simultaneously with a platform as prestigious as Disney+,” began Jesica Stescobich, Director of Distribution and Strategic Alliances at TV Azteca Internacional, in a conversation with ttvnews.
“We’re excited. We just premiered this Monday, and the idea is to reach and amplify our audiences, so they know that the content lives on broadcast TV, on a platform, on social media, that we have summaries on the website and the app. It’s multiplying the audience we reach. We’re very happy and expect great results,” the executive added.
Captiva por amor is a 70-episode story with a “super production,” the executive emphasized. “It has a lot of exteriors. We filmed almost half of it in Cuernavaca, with the challenges of the weather and the travel. It’s a committed story of a woman who comes seeking revenge, for a very powerful story that stems from when she was a child. It has a lot of history, of human trafficking. These are moving stories that are heard in every corner of the planet. That makes it very international. We have extremely talented actors. And we have love stories. The parallel stories, which we all want to see. And that means we can reach many more places,” she explained.
Cautiva por amor is one of the many fiction projects the channel has in the works this year. “We have a lot of fiction,” she said. “We have four broadcast TV channels, and we produce a lot of fiction on two of them. We have Lotería del crimen in its fourth season, Un día para vivirin its fifth, Doctora Lucía in its third… The products work, they resonate. And for international exposure, they give us a lot of security.”
“And we have unscripted programs, divided into different genres: reality shows, dailies, news, and documentaries. We have several interesting opportunities. We can offer a solution for many programming needs,” she concluded.
