IVI and Star Media have agreed on a strategic partnership, within which the company will produce series for IVI Originals.
IVI, a leading Russian online video streaming platform, has entered into strategic partnership with Star Media, a production power-house with proven track-record in producing content for the Russian and international markets.
During the period of two years, it is planned to start the development of at least eight projects, and the production of at least five projects, which will be added to IVI Originals line and will be exclusively available to the platform’s subscribers.

A mystery drama series Awake, an adaptation of the US format starring Evgeniy Mironov, is the latest example of our successful cooperation. The series premiered on IVI this summer and gained strong interest from the audience. Star Media is a producer, distributor and owner of copyright to television and film products. The company aims to develop co-production with international partners and to create projects targeted at a wide audience. Star Media successfully develops its own television and Internet broadcasting, collaborates with streaming services. Being the largest aggregator in the CIS countries, the company has a well-established presence on YouTube. In December of 2020, the company launched ContentScan service intended to fight against piracy.
