The executive spoke with ttvnews in Miami about the success of his Turkish dramas and the potential of his entertainment formats in the region.

Enjoying the continued success of One Love, which continues to garner high ratings in Turkey and Latin America, Global Agency was present at Content Americas to further extend the arrival of the successful series.

“We are super happy with One Love, not only for what it has done in Turkey, but for what it is doing in Latam,” began Iván Sánchez, Sales Director for Latin America at Global Agency, in a conversation with ttvnews from Miami.

“In Turkey we are seeing a very unusual phenomenon, that instead of going down a little from season to season as it usually happens, the rating of One Love is the opposite. In fact, the third season is marking audience highs,” explained the executive.

“What makes us happy is that the clients who trust the product for Latam are seeing those results reflected in their own channels,” he added. “Panama is already in the second season, very happy with the result and we are closing the third with them. In Puerto Rico it is also going super well. And in Mexico it premiered on Imagen TV as the second best launch of a Turkish series in the history of the channel.”

“Super happy because we are closing agreements in the region and I think it could be the great Turkish product of this year in Latam,” he predicted.

As a novelty, the group is presenting My Mother’s Tale, “which has all the ingredients to work, with the iconic actress of 1001 Nights, a very strong story with nuances similar to series like Mother, where a mother defends her son like a lioness against all odds.”

“It has love, drama, it will really move people and connect with the entire audience,” added the executive.

On the format side, Global Agency is looking to replicate the success they are achieving in Brazil in the rest of Latin America. “In Brazil we are doing very well with formats like Keep it or Lose it, which has unlimited possibilities for sponsorship. We also have My Wife Rules. And we would love for all those good results in Brazil to spread to the rest of the region. We are working on that, so that not only Turkish soap operas but also formats can grow in the region,” he concluded.
