The casting process is now underway in the US and Puerto Rico, to premiere later this year on the US Hispanic network.
The international smash hit El Retador (The Challenger) will bring all the emotions, drama, and entertainment of a reality competition to Univision’s Domingos en Familia (Family Sundays) programming slate this summer.
The show features talented individuals, in three different disciplines, willing to take on an established artist in a spectacular talent showdown. The renowned actress and comedian Consuelo Duval will host the new season.
El Retador will begin castings across the U.S. and Puerto Rico next month in anticipation of its awaited debut later this year.

El Retador kicks off with the introduction of three Campeones (Champions) – a famous singer, impersonator, and an award-winning dancing duo – sitting on a throne with a sum of money that accumulates show after show. Each week they will have to defend their throne and money from El Retador (Challenger), an aspiring artist in these three disciplines.
In each episode, two aspiring candidates will showcase their talent to a renowned panel of judges and compete for a chance to become El Retador (Challenger). Once the winner is decided, the Champion and the Challenger will have to display all their talent in a faceoff that will decide their fate in the show, and it’ll be up to the audience to determine who is the final winner.
